What's up friends!? How are you guys?!? Today is Day 7 of the 31-day blogging challenge. Are you guys keeping up with the kid?? If not feel free to catch up on the past couple of topics they are pretty interesting. So today's topic is "My Pet Peeves" boy ol' boy, do I have them. I have a ton of pet peeves. It could be the Virgo in me that little stuff annoys me. Most people may be surprise by the list but I am sparing you guys a lengthy list so I have narrowed it down to my top 5 pet peeves. So let's just jump right in shall we?
NUMBER 1: "PEOPLE WHO IGNORE ME"
Out of all of the pet peeves listed this is the ULTIMATE one I cannot stand!!! There have been some situations in my life where I have made people upset and there have been times where I had no IDEA someone is mad at me. One thing I do not like is to constantly feel like I am keeping the lines of communication open. If I call a person once or send a text and I get no response, I will wait. If I make another attempt I feel borderline stalkerish. I am pretty smart to pick up on cues if a person is busy or just don't want to be bothered. But it is another thing to continue to reach out to someone and get no response especially if they know I am reaching out to them. Don't let me see that person all on social media posting new statuses or pictures either...because then comes Petty Betty. I prefer people just to let me know if they see me reaching out and they need space. A simple response doesn't hurt.
NUMBER 2: "INCONSIDERATE PEOPLE"
People sometimes can be the absolute worse. I have encountered people who have taken me for granted and not consider my feelings. I often give a side eye to a person who doesn't consider someone else's feelings or situation. I understand that people are entitled to their own opinions and that doesn't bother me. It's the people just don't care about others and only their feelings matter. People have to realize sometimes everything is not ALWAYS about them.
NUMBER 3: "PEOPLE WHO START A TEXT CONVERSATION WITHOUT A GREETING"
Now we all know that texting has been the primary source of communication. I am guilty of choosing to have a text conversation rather than a phone conversation. I blame my extensive background in customer service. Most days I prefer to just text. I think people forget that you still have to have some kind of manners when texting. If I haven't talked to you all day and you just jump in my messages starting a conversation I will hit you with a "Hey, hello to you too, oh my day is fine & yours?" I will get real sarcastic quick. So if you text me a "Hey" will suffice.
NUMBER 4: "PEOPLE WHO JUST TEXT "THANKS"
Again, I am aware that texting is meant to be a short way to communicate. I could be reaching just a bit with this one buuuut my skin crawls when people just hit me with a "thanks." I feel it has a slight bougie undertone with it or like the person is too busy or "fake busy" and they don't want to be mean, so they choose respond. For example, I could be browsing Instagram and one of my followers has on a nice outfit. Their comment section is lit up with comments and sprinkles in my comment. Now I notice they are responding to everyone's comment with "Thanks boo" or "Thank you love" then when it comes to mine its a simple "Thanks." I'm thinking were you too lazy to add the "you? Again guys I could be reaching and being a tad sensitive and I could probably chill with this one but it still annoys me. Judge me if you want...lol
NUMBER 5: "PEOPLE WHO TALK LOUDLY ON THE PHONE"
I ride the bus to work and it has been several occasions when other passengers feel the need to include the entire bus into their conversation. It's like the person feels they are at home. Oh and don't try to tell them to be quiet that's a whole 'nother issue. When I am riding the bus I like to listen to my music not Shirley's conversation about her bad ass son.
BONUS: "RUDE PEOPLE"
Some people can just be plain ole rude for no reason. It doesn't matter how nice you can be to them they are just ugh. One thing I try to do is hold the door for people when I am entering and exiting a entrance. We all know that its common courtesy to say "Thank you" when someone is holding the door for us I mean that person does not have to this gesture and its just rude if you don't say thank you. I had a situation when I was holding the door for someone and they did not say anything. I was sooooo mad. Its rude AF to do that. People try not to be rude...its not healthy..lol
Okay guys what are some of your pet peeves, I love to hear from you! Leave a comment below and let me know. Until tomorrow! See you guys on Day 8!
